Lariat necklaces don't have a clasp like regular necklaces. They are fastened by tying ends in a knot, or by pulling one end of a necklace through the ring on the other end. Longer necklaces can be folded in half and the middle part is used as a slide for the ends. Lariats are versatile necklaces that can, like a scarf, always be worn in a new way. You can make one in any tubular stitch, and even flat stitches can be used. Check out my articles on spiral stitch, tubular peyote, tubular netting and crochet.
